Our mission is to connect hearts, strengthen community, and provide cats with a life of security, respect, and care. ChatzKafi is designed to be a sanctuary where humans and animals benefit from one another's presence.
"Planned" ChatzKafi-Lyss GmbH
The GmbH will manage operations, hold the lease, and cover all ongoing costs. It ensures the professional implementation of the cafe while maintaining economic independence and high standards of service for all visitors.
The Founder: Andrea Varga. "Why am I starting this project?" ChatzKafi is not just a business concept. It is my way back to myself. For years, I dreamed of creating a warm, quiet, lovingly designed place that heals. A place that catches people instead of overwhelming them. A place where you don't have to perform, but can simply exist. Having achieved much in the hospitality industry, I also endured much. The pressure and constant burnout exhausted me. When I became a mother, I hoped to balance my dream and family, but the industry reality left no room. I reached a breaking point where I felt I was losing myself. I saw two paths: returning to a system that makes me ill, or choosing a life that strengthens me. ChatzKafi is that path. It is the answer to my own story, offering what I lacked: peace, structure, purpose, and appreciation for humans and animals alike. Cats are vital to this. For 13 years, two cats have been my steady, comforting companions through every life phase. They showed me the power of a quiet presence. Seeing my daughter grow up with her own cat, learning love and responsibility, touched me deeply. My favorite breed is the Turkish Angora – for their gentle, intelligent, and social nature. They embody elegance and sensitivity, exactly what ChatzKafi represents. That is why I want a Turkish Angora to be the face of ChatzKafi – not as a marketing tool, but as a symbol of warmth and lightness. I am not starting this just to run a cafe. I am creating a space that does people good, just as I once wished for such a place. ChatzKafi is my way to stay healthy, live my dream without losing myself, and show my daughter that beauty can be built from difficult experiences.
Our Vision & Philosophy
At ChatzKafi, the welfare of our cats always comes first. We offer a quiet, respectful environment where animals and people feel at home. Our Turkish Angoras demonstrate the importance of rest, health, and proper care. Through clear rules, dedicated supervision, and transparent partnerships with animal welfare organizations, we take full responsibility for our residents every single day.

Our ambassador cat, a Turkish Angora, represents all the rescues at ChatzKafi. With her calm, people-oriented nature, she demonstrates the importance we place on a loving and respectful relationship with our feline friends.
