Maja’s story

Maja came to ChatzKafi as a rather cautious cat. At first she preferred to observe everything from a safe distance and needed time to build trust. With patience, calm voices and gentle movements, she has slowly opened up and now shows her soft, affectionate side to people she knows well.

Behaviour at ChatzKafi

IIn the café, Maja moves carefully and thoughtfully. She likes to choose quiet spots where she can watch everything, and she will come closer on her own when she feels safe.

Maja is social with other cats as long as she has enough places to retreat to. She avoids too much hustle and bustle and will choose a quieter area instead.

Towards visitors, Maja is friendly but initially reserved. If you give her time and don’t push her, she enjoys gentle petting and quiet affection.

Is Maja ready for a home?

Maja is in good health and shows that she is ready for a calm, loving forever home. She is best suited to a quiet household with patient people who respect her need for gentle introductions and safe retreat spaces.

Formal adoption and the long-awaited move into her new forever home – with our support during the transition if needed.

Important note: Please be aware that all adoptions are carried out in cooperation with our partner animal welfare organisations. The final decision about an adoption is always made by the responsible shelter or rescue organisation.

Our partner organisation

We work closely with regional animal welfare organisations that know our cats well and support us with medical care, behaviour assessments and responsible placement in suitable homes.
